Football forecast for Beşiktaş vs Wolverhampton
Beşiktaş face Wolverhampton in the UEFA Europa League Round 2 match. The match will be played on Thursday, October 3rd from 17:55 UK at Vodafone Park.
Believe it or not, Beşiktaş is in the relegation zone of the Turkey Championship. They started the new season with a 3-0 loss to Sivasspor but in the second round they were able to win 3-0 at home to Göztepe. However, Beşiktaş failed to record a victory in their next 4 matches, finishing 1: 1 on the ground against Rizespor and İstanbul Başakşehir, and lost 3:2 to Gazişehir and 4:1 to Trabzonspor as a guest, with only 5 points. In the Europa League they also did not start well as their first game was a visit to Slovan Bratislava and lost it 4:2 as the Black Eagles had a 2:1 lead at the break but this did not help them prevent another loss away from home.
Wolverhampton have also suffered from the start of the Premier League season with several rounds in the relegation zone but after a draw in their penultimate 1-1 away match at Crystal Palace and a 2-0 win at home in the latter over Watford they were able to collect assets from 7 points after the first 7 rounds and currently occupy the 13th position. However, in qualifying for the Europa League teams, the Wolves were unbeaten, recording only wins against Pyunik and Torino. However, in their first match of the group, they took on their Molineux Stadium Sporting Braga and shocked all their fans, losing it 1-0 after a goal by Ricardo Horta in the 71st minute.
This will be a clash between teams that are expected much more in both the Championship and Euro tournaments. If we are looking for something positive for Beşiktaş it is that they have no loss of their Vodafone Park since the beginning of the season and Wolverhampton no doubt have more classes in their lineup, but I do not hire to predict who will emerge the ultimate winner in the upcoming clash, as our football forecast for today was both teams to score.
